About International Montessori Center - Otrada (IMC-Otrada)

IMC-Otrada provides Authentic bilingual education and cares for children from birth to six using the authentic Montessori Method of education. We currently have a Casa dei Bambini with children aged three to six and a Toddler class with children aged one to three.

About Montessori Education

Montessori is an innovative, child-centered approach to education. It was developed a century ago by Maria Montessori, a woman who was far ahead of her time. Montessori uses mixed-age classrooms, student choice of activity, uninterrupted blocks of work time, and a discovery model of education where students learn concepts from working with specially designed materials instead of direct instruction. Teachers and assistants do more observing than correcting of children.
