🎯 Role Overview
We are looking for a Head of Business Development to lead MaxiPay’s international expansion, drive commercial growth, and establish strong partnerships across key global markets.
Your mission is to achieve at least 10% revenue growth during the first year, opening new regional opportunities and shaping the company’s global commercial strategy.
💼 Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Market Expansion

Develop and implement the international go-to-market and sales strategy (Middle East / Africa / Asia / Russia).

Identify and assess new markets, key clients, and potential strategic partners.

Analyze competitive landscape, market trends, and regulatory updates (Open Banking, digital payments, local regulations).

Collaborate with the Product team to adapt payment solutions to regional needs (acquiring, P2P, APIs, digital wallets).
Sales & Revenue Management

Lead the business development and sales teams, set targets, and manage performance.

Build and scale regional sales pipelines, ensuring revenue and margin growth.

Negotiate and close strategic deals with banks, PSPs, and enterprise clients (eCommerce, retail, marketplaces).

Design and optimize the pricing and fee structures to maximize profitability.
Partnerships & Integrations

Develop partnerships with acquiring banks, technology providers, and card issuers.

Evaluate commercial and operational risks in new markets and propose mitigation plans.

Build sustainable relationships with local stakeholders and key decision-makers.
👥 Reporting Line & Team

Reports directly to the CEO.
-
Works cross-functionally with Product, Operations, and Finance teams.

Will manage a small team of sales and BD managers, potentially expanding by region.

Technical and IT integration support is already established within MaxiPay.
🧠 Requirements
Experience & Background
-
5+ years in senior commercial roles (Head of Sales, Commercial Director, or Head of BD),
including 3+ years in fintech, payments, acquiring, or banking (transactional services, PSPs, or IT integrators for financial institutions). -
Proven expertise in payment systems (Visa/Mastercard, local networks), acquiring (POS & online), processing, and PCI DSS standards.

Strong track record in P&L management and scaling revenue-generating functions.

Data-driven mindset with strong analytical and negotiation skills.

Fluent in English and Russian.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in economics, finance, or technology.
💰 Compensation & Benefits

Base salary: starting from USD 5,000 (depending on experience and region).

Bonus: Performance-based, tied to net profit and business unit results.

Format: Hybrid or remote work, with business travel to target markets.

Visa and relocation support may be provided if required.
