Environment, Health and Safety Manager

We are looking for an HSE Manager to lead the development and operation of our occupational health and safety function across more than 30 countries. In this role, you will be responsible for building and scaling a robust HSE framework that complies with local legislation and corporate standards, managing a distributed team and external partners, and ensuring a safe working environment globally.
You will play a key role in launching operations in new markets, driving process automation and digital transformation in HSE, and liaising with regulators and internal stakeholders. This position requires a strategic mindset combined with hands‑on operational involvement in a fast‑growing international environment.
You will be responsible for:
- organising and developing the OHS asystem cross an international perimeter (30+ countries);
- managing a distributed team of specialists and external contractors;
- ensuring compliance with local legal requirements and corporate HSE standards;
- conducting occupational risk assessments and managing professional risks;
- organising occupational health and safety training programmes;
- monitoring compliance with mandatory medical examination requirements;
- carrying out certifications and other mandatory OHS‑related procedures;
- supporting the launch of operational activities in new countries, including building HSE frameworks from scratch;
- responding to incidents and participating in incident investigations;
- liaising with local regulatory authorities and inspection bodies;
- participating in occupational health and safety committees, including in African and Latin American countries;
- preparing and managing the HSE function budget;
- identifying, selecting and managing local consultants and service providers;
- developing and maintaining internal automation processes and AI‑based tools;
- collaborating with cross‑functional teams.
You might be a fit if you have:
- at least 5 years of professional experience in occupational health and safety / HSE;
- proven experience in managing a function or a team of at least 3 people;
- hands‑on experience with core OHS processes (risk management, training, medical examinations, certifications, etc.);
- experience of interacting with regulators and inspection bodies;
- working proficiency in English.
It’d be a plus if you:
- have experience working in an international environment or across multiple jurisdictions;
- are familiar with HSE practices and regulations in emerging markets (especially Africa and Latin America);
- have prior experience in implementing automation or AI tools in HSE or related functions;
- demonstrate strong budgeting and vendor management skills;
- possess excellent cross‑cultural communication and stakeholder management abilities;
- can effectively balance strategic planning with day‑to‑day operational challenges in a scaling global organisation.
