Accountant (Dubai)

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Higher education in accounting, finance, or a related field.

• 5 years of experience in accounting (not the position of Chief Accountant)

• Proficiency in 1C accounting software.

• Fluent in English

• In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and practices (RAS and IFRS).

• Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

• Reports to the Chief Accountant

Preferred Qualifications:

• CPA, ACCA, or equivalent certifications.

• Knowledge of advanced Excel functions (e.g., Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).

• Experience in financial analysis and forecasting.
  
  Key Responsibilities:

• Accounting and bookkeeping: Recording journal entries and reconciling accounts on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.

• Accounts payable and receivable: Processing invoices, monitoring accounts payable and receivable, reconciling intercompany balances, and resolving discrepancies.

• Financial reporting: Preparing financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards (RAS and IFRS).

• Tax reporting: Assisting with the preparation of tax returns and ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulatory requirements.

• Budgeting and forecasting: Collaborating with departments to prepare and monitor budgets, and providing financial insights to support business decision-making.

• Audit support: Assisting with internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations as requested.

• Regulatory compliance: Monitoring changes in accounting regulations and tax legislation to ensure ongoing compliance.
